Today, we observe that the number of terrorists and criminals increase. People can’t live in peace and many people are injured or murdered per day. Unfortunately, people are suffering and no strong control of gun is existent. Terrorists’ activities increase and they spread every where in the world. Also, many people don’t have enough food and money. Powerful nation helps to reduce crimes and supports poor people in society. First of all, the powerful nation is a good group to control guns and eliminates bad seed in society. Moreover, the powerful nation helps to keep a society safe. The powerful nation makes strong deterrents of who abuse a gun, so it reduces the amount of criminals’ activities. In addition, the powerful nation cooperates to keep society in safe hands and protect people from criminals.Not only the powerful nation decrease number of crimes in society, but also, it supports poor people. The powerful nation acts to help people who can’t find food, money and place to live. Poor people find that the powerful nation is a good supporter. Furthermore poor people receive many donations from this nation, for instance, they get small amount of money that parent can help their children to study in school.

To sum up, the powerful nation is a useful group that cooperates to care of society and protect it. As well, it can reduce crimes in a country and makes people live in peace. Also, it takes care of poor people and provides money, food and place for them to live. Hence, the powerful nation works to keep peace and help poor people.

What are the Differences Between Yahoo and Hotmail?

Today, Yahoo and Hotmail are the most popular email services. Most people use Yahoo and Hotmail for communication.
People depend on Yahoo and Hotmail in their work because the use of these two services is faster, cheaper, and easier. Also, the access to them is flexible. Although Yahoo and Hotmail are almost similar and used for the same purpose, some people prefer one of them than the other. This paper will discuss the reasons of Yahoo and Hotmail popularity among users. This research includes a survey which shows the number of people who use Yahoo and people who use Hotmail. Also, this paper is in order to study the result of the percentage of people who use Yahoo and percentage of Hotmail’s users. Yahoo and Hotmail are obviously the most common web email services today. Their features, capacities and securities are under development every year. If we compare Yahoo and Hotmail to how they were ten years ago, we would be surprised of how they have developed. In fact, some people prefer Hotmail instead of Yahoo while other the other way around, yet a number of people use both. Hence, this paper will help us to observe which email service is used most ? As well, this research will help us to find out which email services do people prefer more and why? Even though Yahoo is similar to Hotmail in function, there are some differences between them.

The similarities between Yahoo and Hotmail are more than differences. Both Yahoo and Hotmail have two creators. A copyright agent of Yahoo, in his article “Yahoo! Media relation”, indicated that the two founders of Yahoo are David Filo and Jerry Yang, Ph.D. candidates in Electrical Engineering at Stanford University in 1994 (Yahoo, 2005). Besides, in the article,”History of Hotmail”, the author, a lead program manager of Hotmail, demonstrated that Hotmail was founded by Jack Smith and Sabeer Bhatia in 1995 (Wikipedia, Aug, 2005). Also, each Yahoo and Hotmail are acronyms (Alyahya, 2004,p1). In addition the copyright agent of Yahoo showed that Yahoo is short for "Yet Another Hierarchical Officious Oracle”, similarly a lead program manager of Hotmail reported that Hotmail is short form and it included the letters "HTML the markup language used to write web pages. Moreover, the copyright agent of Mail2World presented the idea by given some similarities between Yahoo and Hotmail in their features for instance, Yahoo has a calendar ,strong security, spell checker and Auto virus scanning similarly ,so does Hotmail. In addition, “with Yahoo, we can put our messages in different folders; and, we can create a signature that will be shown on every message we send. Also, we can filter our messages and block senders that we do not want e-mail from, likewise, Hotmail has the same features” (Alyahya, 2004, p1).

Not only there are similarity between Yahoo and Hotmail but also there are differences between them. For example, the capacities between them are diverse. According to the lead program manager of Hotmail in his article “storage of Hotmail” distinguished that Yahoo provides 1GB for free to its users and 2GB given at a price nevertheless, the capacity of Hotmail is 250 MB of free email storage to their American users, and 2 MB of free email storage to their users who out of America (Wikipedia, Aug, 2005). According to author Jessica Aldred in his article” Hotmail Stays on Top of Free E-mail Providers”(Business, May 17, 2000) report that the number of people in Australia who registered accounts in Hotmail grew to more than two million, so in Australia people prefer Hotmail more than Yahoo. Besides, according to the copyright agent of Mail2World in his comparison chart” Mail2world vs. Hotmail and Yahoo! Mail” included that Yahoo doesn’t serve in different languages, however Hotmail serve in many languages. As well, Hotmail has extra features such as stationery, dictionary and thesaurus, although Yahoo doesn’t offer these features. Yahoo has email forwarding, bookmarks and voicemail yet, Hotmail doesn’t (Mail2World, 2005).


Method:
This study shows that the number of people who use Yahoo and Hotmail constantly. 20 people were asked from different countries. Four people are Chinese, four people are Korean, five people from Saudi Arabia, two people from Iran, two people are Israeli, one person from Japan, one person from Taiwan and last one is Vietnamese. Their age’s between18 to 38 and most of them had an experience enough to answer any question about the features and services of the email which they use. Moreover, we demonstrated this survey by given them a form of four main question and they filled it out. As a result, we found out that 25% of people use Yahoo, 50% of people use Hotmail and 25% use both Yahoo and Hotmail. (See the table below)

In this cause, 40% of the people who use Yahoo chose “easy to use”, 30% chose large capacity, 15% chose “many friends use it”, 15% of Yahoo users said they are familiar with it and some people said they like the features of it. On the other hand, 50% of the people who use Hotmail chose “many friends use it” and “It has large email capacity”. Also, 30% of Hotmail users chose “Easy to use” and 20% believed Hotmail has attractive features and strong security. In addition, I request this question in order to investigate the reasons that why the people choose Yahoo or Hotmail.
To sum up, I found that Hotmail is very popular, and if we look at the survey we can observe that ten people prefer Hotmail, five people prefer Yahoo and the other five prefer both Yahoo and Hotmail. Moreover, I believe that people like Hotmail more than Yahoo because Hotmail has a large size and it is uncomplicated to use. Besides, the people use Hotmail more than Yahoo for the reason that features of Hotmail are more attractive than Yahoo. Also, from the articles we can notice that Hotmail has same features which Yahoo doesn’t have for instance, stationery, dictionary and thesaurus. Specially, Hotmail serve in different languages but Yahoo doesn’t, hence, it could be reasons of why most people prefer Hotmail more than Yahoo.

Should citizens allowed to protest against their government when their country is at war?

The issue of whether we should allow citizens to protest against government has been extensively debated in our community in recent times. Allowing or prohibiting people from protesting is an essential issue to discuss because it impact on country, government and soldiers who struggle in army during the war. This essay will think about the argument for allowing citizens to protest or prohibit them from it. It has been argued that government should know what people want and protect against dictatorship. A variety of different arguments have been put forward about allow citizens to protest or not. If government allows citizens to protest, then citizens lead to riots and lower the moral of soldiers. First of all, citizens shouldn’t be allowed to protest because protesters lead to riots and this lead to violence. When 10,000 opposition protesters are gathering to protest, we can see battles between police and protesters attacks with a hail of sticks and stones, which cause serious injuries or kill citizens. Also, some citizens still don’t know what they mean to be protesting about, they just riot and disorder. During protest we can see many demonstrators lying on the ground asking for help, but the others give them a cold shoulder.

For example, during Vietnam War, citizens in US had a strong protest that end with a number of people who injured and died. Moreover, in some countries police allot about two hours for protesting, but when the time expired some demonstrator’s intent on remaining in protesting areas and police are suffering to stop citizen’s disorder.
A second reason why citizens shouldn’t be allowed to protest is that protesters lead to lower soldiers’ moral and this cause danger to their lives. For instant, when citizens protest and disagree with country against war, soldiers will think twice bout their drafting in army and why they are here or why they carry on war. Of course when moral of soldiers are lowered, country will lose a war. Specifically, in Vietnam War. Furthermore, citizens who protest are not nationalistic. In fact, citizens should support their country and encourage leaders who are empowering for making a significant decision. Government always set a right decision for country and citizens should obey to their country without protesting because a government knows what the best for the country is.
It is claim that government represents citizens and protesting is a way for people to participate decision making and they can show their opinion about government’s decisions. Protesting can help citizens to protect against dictatorship and when a so-called democracy government ignores what people needs. Also, it has been argued that protesting let government know what people want and what they call it “freedom of speech” that is basic human rights. Citizens believe that protesting is one of human right that any one can feel free to say his or her opinion which they call it “democracy”, for example Africa. However, governments have information those average citizens don’t have we should trust them to make the sight decision that are in the country best interest. Also, lot of countries has “democracy”, but they are actually dictatorships. Citizens should trust government decision because governments make the best decision with expert people who know what the best is.

In summary, it is crucial that protesting is lead citizens to disorder and discourage soldiers who battle in war. Also, we have seen how protest cause lots problems, such as citizens fight with police or burn something in streets and kill each others. Therefore, if we want out country without riot and problems we should avoid protesting.

Problem Gambling

About three months ago, I walked into a convenience store. On the right side of the convenience store was a poker video machine which was very popular in the city. There was a man in his late forty, poorly dressed and dirty. I saw him dropping a few coins in a machine and waiting to win or lose. I couldn’t take my eyes off the sight, and I thought he was a homeless, but he wasn’t. After that, he didn’t get anything, and he started to swear.Then, I went to him trying to clam him down. After that we sat togather, and he started to tell me his story, “I was studying at a university without any problem or financial trouble. My grades were very high. Also, I was a nice and social person. Most the time I was smiling, tolerant and pleasant. I liked my friends and they liked me too. One day I went to a casino with my classmates. I had never been to a casino before. When I entered the casino, I felt surprised and amazed about how the people play and earn lots of money easily. Day by day, I started to gamble in a casino. I believed that my life would not be the same, and I will afford what I dreamed. Also, I believed that I would have lots friends and become very rich. All of a sudden, I lost what I had, and I was losing more than earning. After that, I borrowed lots of money to finance my gambling. I could not move from my chair, and I spent most of the day in a casino. My mood changed, and I became angry and disappointed all the time instead of being good-tempered. Moreover, I lost sleep thinking about gambling and my home life turned to unhappy. During the years I found myself in an enormous financial trouble and became poor. As well, I was escaping from my friends who argued about money that owed to them. I tried to stay away from gambling, but I couldn’t. Finally, I was caught many times by police and put in jail because I broke the law to pay for my gambling”. Listening to the story, I rose my eyebrows and was surprised about how gambling harmed his life. Therefore, I understood that he was a compulsive gambler. Gambling makes people addicted, depressed and involved in committing crimes.

What happens when the fun of gambling becomes an addiction?
Most people gamble just to spend their free time. They don't worry about winning or losing, and they gamble just for fun. In contrast, people who are addicted to gambling believe that by gambling they can escape from their problems and become rich, so they depend on gambling. Also, they are unable to tolerate losing and avoiding the shame of losing, and if they lose their money, they immediately try to recoup (President of Harvard College, 2004, P.1). In addition, gambling makes people addicted, and it is harder to treat than addiction to drugs or alcohol abuse (Braidfoot, 1985, P. 21). Moreover, according to author president of Harvard College, people who are addicted to gambling waste most of their money and lives by taking risks on gambling. Also, the author noted that if some people lose their money, they later return to gambling trying to win back their losses, and they play again and again. As result, they become addicts.

Unfortunately, some people think if they start gambling and find themselves lose many times, they don’t think that they will try again and again or become addicted to gambling. Also, some people feel that they probably lose at the beginning, but after a period of time they will learn and become skilled. Consequently they become compulsive gamblers and out of control (wikipedia, 2005).
Gambling makes people not only addicted, but also depressed. Gambling is a source to waste money and the life turns into the worst by gambling .Also, gambling can turn people’s life to unhappy and makes them depressed, for instant. Gambling makes people lose their jobs, ignore their families, and lose their friends. Besides, most addicted gamblers have difficulty sleeping, and they are usually addicted to alcohol or drugs. As well, some people think that by gambling they can get away from problems or revive thoughts of depression. In addition, “gambling losses cause depression, which leads to more gambling” (President of Harvard College, 2004, P. 3). Gamblers can't resist the try to gamble, and they borrow large mount of money. Sometimes, they damage relationships with family and friends. Moreover, mental conflict can be risen by gambling, for example, when an addicted gambler attempts to quit gambling, they usually become impatient (Chene,2005). Also, gamblers frequently feel remorse after gambling, and they are usually moody. Most gamblers and their families are worrying about finances. For instance, they torture themselves and worry most of the time because of losing a lot of money and getting into financial trouble. Gamblers usually have problems with their work, school or relationships. However, in spite of these problems, gamblers will continue to gamble (President of Harvard College, 2004, P. 2).
Additionally, money becomes oil that controls the gambling engine (Braidfoot, 1985, P.18). Addicted gamblers always try to find the money that helps them finance their gambling (President of Harvard College, 2004, P.1-2). Most of gamblers act illegally or break the law in order to get gambling money or recover gambling losses. For instance, when gamblers can’t afford their gambling, they start to steal, lie,beg and use fake checks to finance gambling or pay their debets (President of Harvard College, 2004, P.2). Also, sometimes addicted gamblers commit crimes in order to obtain money, especially, teenage gamblers, who steal money from their parents or commit crimes to finance their gambling.
In summary, according to researchers we found that gambling makes people lose their money and get into financial problems. Most times gamblers lose sleep thinking about gambling and worry about losing their money. Indeed, gamblers borrow lots money from their friends to gamble, and they have become so isolated that they don't have anyone left because their old friends ask about their own money. Also, most gamblers are addicted, and they find it difficult to stop. In fact, it is possible that when gambler can’t find money to gamble, they break the law to pay for their gambling.
