When I was walking in downtown, someone stopped me. I stared at his face, his eyes were red and he had a runny nose. Also, he coughed a lot. I was surprised when I looked at his body, he was very thin. When he talked to me his teeth were yellow. I observed that he had trouble concentrating. Obviously, he had no school, job nor friends. He asked me to give him money, when I refused he got nervous and he called me names. I felt scared and amazed; he was trying to start a fight for no reason. After realizing that he was an addict, I ignored him and he went away. Really, drugs were a big impact on his life. We observe that a person who uses drugs is negative and worried all the time. Sometimes, an addict is happy; sometimes sad. Also, sometimes an addict is moody and changes his/her mind. If someone blames addicts, they will start a fight. Addicts usually have a trouble concentrating, because drugs damage their brain and change their temper. Also addicts sometimes can not be aware about what they do and they can not control their behaviour. Moreover, addicts always ask to be alone, I think addicts had changed their friends, because they had borrowed from them a lot of money, so when their friends find them, they ask about their money that they borrowed from them. Addicts are always unfriendly and people don’t like them, because they are nervous and moody. Usually, addicts get angry and start fighting for little things consequently; most of addicts are divorced or simply not married. Furthermore, it is difficult to live with addicts because they are moody person. Finally, we can understand that drugs had a big change on a person. Also, drugs can make a person nervous and naughty. Moreover, most of addicts don’t have friends and they are isolated from other people. Also, we observe addicts are thin and pale, because drugs damage health. Also, addicts are fired from work or expelled from school. Hopefully, we will not find any one of our friends is addicted.

Dear Sami
Thank you for your blog entries. I really enjoyed reading them. I was really able to identify with you when you described how you said goodbye to everyone and arrived here in Toronto. I can imagine what it must have been like for you to be in a new country and not knowing where you need to go. This has happened to me a few times before.
I also enjoyed reading about the lute! I have never seen a lute before and it was interesting to read about it. Do you have it here with you in Canada? Perhaps you could bring it to class sometime and play it for us?
Your last blog entry is very well written. Did someone help you write it or edit it? I am glad though that you were all right and that nothing happned to you with that drug addict. You really must be careful.
Keep up the good work!
Lindsey ;)
